Hi, my name is Clay, I create art and have done so professionally for 20 years.

Looking back over my career I have realised that my art has been an exploration of what it means to be human and the various issues I have been wrestling with along the way. Ego, identity, power, status, religion, philosophy, vulnerability and how best to live in a truthful, positive, life giving way.

After 20 years of exploring and wrestling, in the summer of 2024 I created a simple affirmation that I have found amazingly helpful in my day to day living..............  

                                        

Love where I am

Whilst not initially realising how powerful and life changing this affirmation can be, the second half of 2024 proved for me to be one of my most contented, least confrontational and creatively inspiring periods of my life.  After sounding it out with a few close friends I soon realised that it resonated with many of them also. So my next question was. how do I share this simple way of being human with more than just a few friends and acquaintances?

I am no author, and have no desire to bombard social media with my ugly mug (need to love self more) when what I do best is art. Is it possible to spread the message of 'Love where I am' through art?

I guess this is my attempt to do precisely that.
